主讲人简介
Chun-bo ma, graduated from Nankai university in 1997, received his Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is the associate professor of agricultural and resource economics in the university of Western Australia. He is an economist with research interest in the fields of environmental economics, energy, environment risk and policy, spatial econometrics, etc. His research work has been published or accepted for publication in such leading academic journals as Ecological Economics, Energy economics. He was awarded several Australian and the Chinese government funding, and in 2013 he was awarded for "China-Australia low emissions coal technologies new leader".

The last few years have witnessed a rapidly emerging literature estimating the marginal abatement cost, or the shadow price of CO2 emissions in China using parametric or non-parametric distance function approaches. This is largely driven by the fact that China has become the world’s largest carbon emitter and thus faced mounting domestic and international pressure to mitigate emissions. we provide a thorough and critical review of this literature, and more importantly, identify research directions that need the most attention from scholars.
